Default HOWDY from TEXAS

Traded my 98 F150 supercab XL for a 2010 supercrew XLT. It is a beautiful truck. The previous owner did a great job taking care of it. Anyway I found y'all while researching accessories for my "new" truck. Membership here probably would have been of great benifit 5years ago when my old truck started doing wierd things. But I guess better late than never.

Okay I've been here a couple of weeks now and have some questions:

1)what do people mean when they say "screw" when talking about their engine?

2)why plastic dip the mirror reflector?

3)leveling...what's that all about?

Many others that I can't think of at the moment.

Most of the time the word "Screw" is referring to a SuperCrew Truck.
I have not plasti dipped any parts yet so I don't know the answer to that one.
I have added leveling kits to some of my F150's so that the front would sit level with he rear and you can install taller tires if you want to with the leveling kit installed.

Welcome from West Texas!! Plastic-dipping is a coating you can apply that will peel off, changes up the look of your truck. Your 98 would be called a SCAB.

Welcome from the Houston area! The reason people plastidip the mirror reflector is purely because they don't like the amber on it. A leveling kit is so the truck sits level and larger tires can fit. I'm running one on my 07 right now. I can't stand when the front sits lower than the back or vise versa. And the term "screw" or "scab" refers to supercrew or super cab.
