Howdy
Just found this site the other day and have already gleaned a fair amount of useful info. I'm an union electrician (IBEW Local 46) doing commercial/industrial construction. I live on the Olympic Peninsula of Wa. St.
I have a 96 F150, 5.0L, AT, long bed, standard cab that I bought new. 232K on it at the moment. It's hauled at least 75 cords of firewood, a couple hundred yards of sand/dirt/manure, enough building material to build a couple of houses. It takes me skiing in the winter, camping in the summer, to work all year. And despite a few nicks and scratches still looks pretty good after a wash and wax.
I've owned quite a few trucks over the last 40+ years and there are two that have been a pleasure to own. This is one of them. (the other was a '60 ... er...well lets just say it wasn't a Ford)
