Default How I got here...

Love of P-51 Mustangs:

(All pics taken by me).

Bought an '07 Gt500 as a tribute to the 352nd Fighter Group and then traded that in on a 2011 GT500:

2007 Gt500

Mt Rainier '07.

(All pics taken by me except last)

Wasn't table to take full advantage of the GT500 here in Bellingham, WA, and have traded it in on a 2021 F-150 PowerBoost (on order):

Unfortunately have been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer since. YOLO and all and hoping to take delivery while I still have a chance to enjoy it. Hope the pics aren't too much!

Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about the cancer.
Great P51 pics.
Good looking GT500's, had ( 2 ) of them for a little over 4 years, 11 & a 14.
Both got little driving, sold the 11 in Sept. 2017 to a friend that had his eye on it, used the $$$$$ to buy the F150..

pretty well loaded, I wouldn't pass on the fx4 (take the stickers off) or wheel well liners.

For the price point, why a lariat and not a KR similarly optioned?

Good call on the wheel liners. I had already emailed that update earlier today as I saw I'd missed that.

I like the looks of the Lariat Sport better than the KR and not a fan of badging in the headrest. Almost went with the Limited but was another $6K to $7K, plus my dad drove a Lariat and kind of a throwback to him.

Thank you for the confirmation on the wheel liners. Cheers.

As for the FX4, will hopefully be doing more daily driving than out in the sticks. My impression is the ride will be smoother with the non-FX4 package and depending on the cancer situation this will go over to the wife (likes driving pickups) and I don't see her using rock crawl mode much. Plus the weight will drop mileage even further from what I am reading.

Was planning on doing a full sticker delete as well regardless.

Cheers

Good call on the Limited. Those thin rims suck. uber luxury, but not sensible. More rubber for a better ride.
I would say the most important feature is a 36 gallon gas tank, but not available with the hybrid

My understanding is that the PowerBoost hybrid comes with a 30g tank with a ~700 mile range. Also quite impressive.

And yes, I far prefer the rims/tires on the Lariat Sport to any other package.
