Default Hey

I'm back in the real truck game after a lot of years. I grew up with Ford trucks and let my last one go about 90. Since, I've been running an 89 Bronco II till she dropped (400,000+ miles), and a 98 Ranger that's getting long in the tooth.
I just found a well preserved '95 F-150 Supercab 4x4 that I expect will be my "retirement" vehicle.
I had her hauled up from Soddy Daisy Tennessee and I'm getting to work going through her to make her road worthy.
Flushing the cooling system this weekend to make sure she's ready for winter. Then I'll be doing what I can as I have time.
I'm an Industrial Field Service tech, and time is a premium, and with the regular work I have to do around the place, there's not much of that.
Looking forward to having a resource as I get reacquainted with one of the greatest trucks ever built.

Thanks. Pretty much love at first sight. She needs a little love, but hard to beat where I'm starting.

Hey Seabass, how do you like the CAT mud flaps. Just got a set for mine, but haven't installed yet. How is the oil separator working out? We used to fab these up in the old days, but they seem to have become a thing...along with a lot of hate on the internet.

That is one good looking truck!

I like the CAT mud flaps a lot, they are a bit on a heavier side and a slight pain to install symmetrically on both sides but for around $100, I can't complain at all and nothing is getting through these babies. Especially since other mud flaps cost X2 or X3 times as much. I think they enhance the overall look of the truck, but maybe I'm biased.

As for the oil separator, it's working fine and doing its job. I'm fully aware of the hate some people have towards them, but I have ran those on multiple vehicles and I plan on running them in the future on all of my vehicles. It's not an expensive part for a peace of mind.
