Hello all -

I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if you could help me out. I've got a 2002 F-150, 4x4, 5.4L that currently gets around 14.0mpg. Are there any aftermarket fixes or addons out there that might help improve my horrible fuel economy? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Thats about normal, you can spend money on a filter and tune and hope you will gain a little. But really the only way to get better MPG is restraining your right foot.

I challenged one of those Eco-boxes to a race going for time and MPG. Only stipulation was they had to do it with the same weight that I had. They declined. So I changed it.. I would race them (they said it ws fast) I got to choose where we raced. I even said I would take the heavier truck (the Chevy) They declined that too. So except fuel mileage where are they better?

I know you were. This dude was running his gator about how good his fuel mileage was how much better his Eco-Box was than my truck. I wanted to hook the 3000 lb boat and trailer to it, put in 6 dudes and 1500 lbs of gear and see how good it was.

okay, I get it.

Like I said earlier, I'm sure the batteries would melt down before the 1000 foot mark.

Use the search button here on the forum, theres a ton of HOW-TO's that tell you ways to improve your MPG. The biggest tip I can offer is to stay off the gas, Keep it at 60 on the Interstate and I think it was TY that said if you keep your RPM's under 2k on take off from redlights or wherever your stopped it will improve you City MPG.

You do not need to post things in 3 different sections. I merged them all into 1 so its easier to read.
