Be careful in May. I was down there the year before last and opening night 6 guys had died by 11pm...it only got worse from there.

 

I live in florida. I was picking on ya, I see all the bikes trailered.. Cruisers, sport, choppers, whatever. I guess I am kinda a purist. If I were going to Bike week I would ride my bike. If I am going to Fun Ford Weekend I am not towing my racecar with the Chevy. That kind of thing.

 

I totally understand where your coming from. If I had a touring or cruising bike I would definitely ride it there. I would ride a sport bike if I had to but they aren't very comfortable on longer trips. Daytona is at least a 4 hour ride from Naples.

 

Welcome.. I went down to bike week for the weekend last yr.. back when i lived in Orlando.. good times..

 

Yea the stock seat on the gixxer is not that comfortable for riding. I just ordered a Corbin seat so maybe next year.

I wanted to give and up date to my trip. I am now in Daytona, cold and WET! It has been raining since I got down here. The best news is that my ride (my new F150) was so smooth I got clocked doing 84 in a 70 so now I have my first ticket in my new truck!! Still love her!

 

haha good job.. seeing your from NC.. i may have a job opporunity closer to the coast in New Bern running the IT dept at the Moen plant there.
