Default Hello From the Midwest!

Hello F-150 forums! I have just acquired a '95 F-150 XLT Manual 4x4 Regular Cab (it's got the 300 Inline six, too) from my neighbor for the hefty price of $0. They gave it to me. The truck has been sitting since about ~2010 and it definitely needs some work. I haven't had a chance to put a battery on it, but its been sitting in their driveway unmoved since 2010. They told me the rear main seal was leaking, but the rest of the engine was fine. The rust is minimal, but I want to ask the community: Is it worth taking up the task of fixing it? Or should I turn it down? My daily is a '97 Ranger 2WD (I'm the original owner) and the F150 will most likely be a farm truck and off-roader. Thanks for everyone's help and have a great day!

You really can’t beat the price of Zero, Zilch, Nada! Nine years of sitting has most likely taken its toll on seals and gaskets, even tires! It could be a fun project for you if you wanted to take it on.

Definitely! Thanks for the response. If it's cost effective and I can find the time to do it, I think this will be a fun project for me to take on.
