Default Hello from LA!

(Los Angeles, not Louisiana -- though I have family there)

Long time listener, first time caller! I've been reading this forum for quite some time. I wanted to pull the trigger on a 2015 F150 XLT, but waited for a 2016. I ordered my truck about 2 months ago, and just picked her up last Friday! She was born on 4/30.

She's a 2016 XLT SE. Shadow Black, 3.5EB, 6.5' bed, FX4, 3.55 diff, ELD.

I wanted to minimize dealer installed options, so I sprung for the factory spray-in bedliner, but chose the "flipbak" OEM cover and bed separator (those are both deale installed). I got a family pricing deal, so even went for the Kicker subwoofer. I haven't tried the fancy new "pro" trailer assist function yet, but figured it would be helpful in tight spots. I tried to order BLIS, but guess that was incompatible with tow mirrors? Remote Start is nice. Anyone else fouled up by needing to press lock first? Turns out the manual had that covered.

Sync 3 is great! Is Apple Car Play coming soon? I have a Fiesta ST with the previous gen, and it was quirky. My FiST is a full race car now, so should have said "had Sync" (MotoIQ Project Ford Fiesta ST if curious). I'm planning to tow my car/trailer to the various SOCAL race tracks. Anyone here into HPDE, track days, or road racing? I'm on the Fiesta ST forums with the same handle. It's an inside joke. I love great BBQ, and recognize the McRib is NOT it -- but I still try one every year or so. Austin, TX is where it's at for brisket!

I got my SCT X4 flash controller today! I'm just using the 91 octane OTS map, but what a nice change! I'm planning to build the truck enough to support somewhere around 500WHP, but I'm not in a hurry to do it. I'm looking forward to reading everyone elses builds!

It only let's me upload a single photo per post (new guy restriction?)

I wanted to order this truck without the SE stripes and "FX4" sticker, but was told you can't do that. It was easy enough to remove them after the fact. I like it better without them.

Thank you.

I don't have any photos with it on a trailer with THIS truck, yet...

All racing fabrication takes a LOT longer than you think (or are told!). It went back to the shop several weeks ago for some aero work. It should be ready "any day".

Here's the Fiesta ST @ MotoIQ:
