Hello Again! From Corcoran MN
Not a new member but getting a new truck. I bought my 2011 super cab, EB, as a leftover in 2012. Plan was to keep it 10 years. At the time i was single and kid free, now I am married with a toddler and infant twins.
Last weekend we went camping for the first time with the twins. Hooked up my 2006, 28ft Outback, and shoe horned into the truck. My oldest is kicking the back of my seat the whole time, my wife has her knees in the glove box with the dog on her lap as the twin car seats are behind her.... It became painfully obvious we have outgrew the truck in a hurry.
Found a truck I wanted locally, a 2016 XLT supercrew with tow mirrors, tow package, 4x4, 3.31 gears, 3.5 EB, nothing fancy, just an XLT with some tow goodies. Would have loved a few more goodies but my budget is impossibly tight. But I have some serious equity in my 2011, with low miles and nearly paid off, my new monthly payment will be $100 less per month, only now I have five years left instead of 1. Pitted 3 dealers against each other until two told me to fly a kit leaving me with the best possible deal I could find. Not exactly how I like to do business but I didn't plan to have twins either.
Excited to get a 2016. Now I just have to find a bedliner, and tonneau cover on the cheap.
