Default Hello from Kentucky

Hey guys,

Just picked up a 2011 F150 XLT Crew Cab. Love this truck. Put on a K&N CAI yesterday. Now I want to do the exhaust....

Great Forum with lots of good info!

Welcome. I'm just down the road from you (Metcalfe). What you looking to do as far as the exhaust? I've got a bit of experience on exhausts. Any other plans?

Thanks!

Exhaust wise I am thinking CAT back. What do you suggest that will work well with my CAI?

I'd recommend a straight though muffler, so no Flowmaster or anything like that. I'm a big fan of Magnaflow. I have a good sound clip of my car (Roush/Borla) but that's a 3v 4.6 so the sound would be different.

Yeah I have been doing some reading and have seen that Flowmaster mufflers are not straight through as Magnaflows are. Better for performance they say

Much better for performance. To be honest though, you won't see huge gains by just a catback. And just because I like to ***** my car's exhaust here's the sound clip.

That's with JBA long tube headers, an OR-H pipe (no cats), and mid mounted Roush/Borla straight through mufflers.
