Default hello everyone...i need some 411

truck will idle ,rev up but backfires and stalls out when the accelerator is goosed????any ideas on what would couse this

1987 f150 300/6 no engine light on, new fuel pump and has pressure of 57lbs....the truck just out of the blue began to backfire and stall as i push the gas pedal down...I live in PA so there is no level ground around..I am self employed and need my truck ...I appreciate all the help from the site members..Thanx

Check your vacuum lines. Notorious on those engines. My uncles truck use to have vacuume problems all the time.

Welcome to the forum! I agree with above post about vacuum lines. Another possibility is ignition system, check (replace?) your plugs and wires. Wrong firing order might also make an engine act like that.
