Default Hello Everyone

I am new to the group, looking to purchase a truck. F150 comes to mind but will like everyone’s thought on the best trim/year to target. Reliability is a big deal for me, I also love all the best and whistles available. I almost pulled a trigger on a Tundra but held back to see what the Ford world holds. Looking for suggestions. Thanks!

I have a 2019 F-150, Son has a 2020 Tundra. Both are nice trucks, you'll just need to figure out what you're looking for and what you can find/afford. Best of luck.

Thanks @bakdahelup ...commuting to work primarily...I have 2 kids, so supercrew a must...I hate sitting at car repair shops, hence my concern around reliability...what is your experience so far with Ford?

I have had 4 trucks over the last 20+ years, only breakdown was in a 9 yr old vehicle, 1k same day repair. otherwise all good.
But everyone has a different story. People with problems are 100x more vocal than those without. It is as reliable as any other vehicle.
I always figured, Ford lives and dies by this truck, so they have a real interest in making owners happy.
if you plan to drive the wheels off of it, get the ext coverage

so the question is, if you want a trim level recommendation from us or if you are ordering one, what is the budget? One issue I have seen around here is the moonroof.

The new XLT trim level has a lot of what it used to take a Lariat to get to. The link below shows you all the 'goodies' available on each trim level.

Nice guide. I always figured a properly optioned XLT (unless you need that luxury) is the best bang for the buck.
My SO likes the luxury, otherwise I'd get an XLT 302a, max tow/36ga tank, FX4, appearance pkg, tech goodies, skid plates, wheel liners, spray in bedliner, no moonroof
