First Truck!
Bought my first ever truck in March and have been lurking on here since before that. I figured I should finally join.
I have always driven small cars: a classic benz sedan in high school and college and a Subaru Outback after college. I finally decided I deserved to be comfortable while driving, I have to do a fair bit of it for my job. At 6'6" I am shocked I folded myself into my Outback for so long.
I looked for a while and finally decided on a 2013; with rebates and cash back being so good it was stupid to spend only a few $1,000 less on a truck with 30k+mi.
Here she is: 2013 Lariat 4x4 V8 Super-crew Blue Jean Metallic 5.5ft bed 40/20/40 seat

Haven't done much except drive a lot. I did pull off the 4x4 decal on the sides.
Before

After

Didn't need anything but a finger nail.
I also got Linex and a canopy.
Snugtop Rebel with venting windoors. For my uses, it is the most versatile rig on the road.

The most recent thing I did was have tracks installed on the canopy so I can carry far more than I should be able to.

I love it.
Don't think I will ever not have a truck. I do sometimes miss 25mpg but I've averaged about 17mpg over the first 13,000mi. And sometimes it can hurt filling up 36gal at $3.50+.
But if that's the price of rolling in style and in comfort… I can handle that.
