Default First F150!

I just bought a '17 Supercrew XLT Sport 3.5 EB, 2WD, Lithium gray. This is my first F150 but my Dad had them when I was growing up. I came from an 03 RAM Single Cab, basically work truck, so pretty much everything is a huge upgrade. It took a while to find the color I wanted with the few features I wanted. I almost went with a 4WD but I couldn't justify the price tag given that I'd rarely use it haha.

That's a sharp looking truck!
When I had my last 2wd truck, it was fine - even in snow. Of course, couldn't climb every hill a 4x4 could, but I just had to avoid those routes. I ended up finding an old tractor tire (large) inner-tube, cut it in half, folded over the ends and screwed together a couple 1x2's after filling with sand. They sat over the rear axel and helped tremendously! Used them year after year...but depending on your climate, you may never need them. I've been driving F150s for 25+ years...welcome aboard!

Nice! I live in Texas so we may get a few days of icy/snowy roads to deal with so I'll have to look in to that to help on those days. My single cab would spin out even when it was wet out so I already gained an edge there! We like to go camping so I kind of wanted a 4x4 to venture off into parks and trails and stuff but I'm sure the 2WD can handle stuff like that. I'm not about to take it mudding or rock climbing or anything.

Thanks! Just had to take it back and drop it off at the dealership for a recall and a few little scratches/blemishes on the body that they are going to take care of. It is also going to need a new windshield after just two weeks...smh.

Gotcha - those pesky defects.
Mine's in the shop for:
* Door scratch
* Hood scuff
* Pass Tow Mirror aberration (fun-house affect)
* Parking brake switch misalignment
* 5Kmile Oil Change (on me) - but dealer quoted $57 for The Works, which I felt was a tad high, as another local dealer only charges me the $39.99 price (they eat the extra quart not covered by the typical coupon).

Ahhh yes, luckily they were able to get a couple of those defects fixed on mine so I'm happy with it. They also gave me some paint match so I can touch up any others down the line if needed. The one thing that's been annoying is that it's been in and out of service after they did a tranny roll pin recall and it's been leaking fluid ever since. They replaced the pan and pump today, hopefully that took care of it!
