After many years of driving Silverado's, I finally test drove a 2015 F150 3.5L Twin Turbo this weekend and was immediately in the negotiating room lol. I cannot believe that Chevy still offers essentially no "turbo" powered competition to Ford's F150 lineup. The only Chevy gas engine I can think of that even comes close to this TT 3.5L V6 is their 6.2L V8 which is just about the biggest gas hog on the planet.
I bought this 2015 F150 this weekend and can't wait to hook my travel trailer up to it. My Silverado, even with a 5.3L V8 struggled to pull 4500 lbs uphill or into a strong headwind in/around Colorado and that was so disappointing based on the tow ratings for it. After doing a ton of research I test drove several F150s and did the deal on this sweet truck! I know towing will be an afterthought now as this thing will handle my travel trailer fully loaded with water and gear with no problems
Driving on the freeway without a trailer I averaged 20 mpg and pushing on the gas pedal reminds me of my days in a Pontiac G8 GT with a 6.0L V8 and this F150 seems even faster, wow!
welcome to the forum. I have converted my grandpa from a chevy man of 45+ years to a ford man for about 10 years now and he has been satisfied with his 1996 f150 eclb 5.0. he said he wont go back to a chevy that his ford has carried more weight than his chevys ever did.
I went from a 2012 5.0L Mustang, to a modded 2014 F150 3.5L EcoBoost, back to a 2018 F150 RCSB Coyote 5.0L. Ford engines have impressed me at every turn in the last almost 10 years. Welcome to the Blue-blood side.
