Default Back to a Ford again!

Well it's a done deal, went out and bought a new for me, 2006 Ford F150 XLT Super Crew 4x4 with the 5.4l V8 (80,000km's) and the 6.5ft box. Traded in my 1998 GMC Sierra Ext. Cab Z71 with only a 156000 km's and will be sad to see it go. Served me well with no major issues but this new truck has exactly what I wanted. Four full doors and the longer box. Strange that Ford in the only company making that combination in a 1/2 ton.

Truck looks absolutely brand new in and out, minus a few scratches on the tailgate. Ride is phenomenal with not a single squeak, creak or groan. Hopefully this truck will serve me well for years to come.

Nice truck. The thing you will hate on your truck are those awful cloth seats. They stain like crazy!!I have cloth seats in my Ford&tried everything under the sun to get the stains out,to no avail. At any rate, good luck with your new found love,Pete

Anyone out there have any suggestions for either stain removal or stain repellent. Has any tried using a good dose of scotch guard or any similar product?

I like the way the interior looks and don't really want to throw on those crappy looking seat covers that you can get from the big box stores. Anyone know of any nice seat covers that stay put?

the scotch guard isn't a bad idea, that seems to help. welcome back. the GMCs are nice... but when there's REAL work to be done, better off bringing the Ford.
