Default 1992 f150

Hi all, I'm new here and appreciate the work involved putting this site together. I have a 1992 F150, long bed, 302. I live in south Georgia and my truck has been in my family since 1994. The truck has 205,000 miles and it is time for exhaust work.
What I'm looking for is to cut the exhaust right before the cat converter and plumb from there. I know the converter is shot after this many miles.
Is the suggestion to replace or eliminate the converter? Any one know the best price/brand on one that would fit? What about the o2 sensor?
I appreciate any help offered and look forward to becoming more involved here.
