thinking of changing my detailing process
My current detailing process after washing and using a clay bar is to apply two coats of chemical guys Jet Seal paint sealant topped with P21S carnuba wax.
I have been reading about trying Meguair's Hybrid Ceramic wax and am wondering if this is better or worse than the paint sealant+wax. Jet seal is purported to last 12 months, the P21S much less. I see some reports of the ceramic wax lasting 3-4 weeks!
So i would appreciate the thoughts and opinions of my fellow forum members on this subject.
thanks in advance

I cannot comment on their comparative value, but the Meguiars Ceramic Wax spray is pretty awesome. We're going on more than 5 months (including a Midwestern winter) and water still beads on it. Pretty cool stuff.
Thanks, 5 months is really good! I think I will try the meguairs on my wife's vehicle , see how it goes. Applying two layers of paint sealant plus the wax is tough on my hands plus it takes a long time!
Spray sealants and waxes have come so far from what they were a few years ago. I have a hard time justifying the use of a liquid wax or sealant just because of the ease of use with the sprays. The way I see it, if it only takes me 20 minutes to apply to the whole truck, it doesn't matter if I need to apply it every 6-8 weeks. With my last truck, I would apply a liquid sealant by hand every 6 months or so with no maintenance other than washing in between. Towards the end of that 6 months, the paint wouldn't have that "pop" or just waxed look or feel and water would not be beading well. Now with minimal effort, my truck always has that just waxed look and slickness. Try the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray.

I washed my truck a few weeks back, it's beading very well after 3 months using Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions.
Of course beading alone does not represent protection, but it does indicate the chemical hasn't totally broken down.
After this last wash I use the Wet Wax part of the series.
Three months ago was clean, D/A with TurtleWax polish/wax. Then just did the first wash of it and followed up with the Spray Wet Wax.
Seems that the Hybrid products from Meguiars and TW are pretty comparable, mostly separated by brand loyalty.
After the clay treatment and the wax/polish with D/A, panels were super slick.
One thing to note, some of the products suggest long cure times. You may choose to find a product with less curing requirements if you aren't able to shelter-in-place your truck away from the elements.

I used micro fiber pads to apply the wax and micro fiber towels to buff. I used about 2 squirts of wax onthe pad for each section of the truck.Change pads and towels frequently.
I used 4 pads and about 6 towels for my truck.
