Default SurfaceCare - Snake oil or good?

Looking for opinions of Ford SurfaceCare. I have read around and see what most of the internet thinks of this $600 application.

I much rather put CarPro on my new truck, but that will cost about the same, maybe a little more - last quote I got was 1000 bucks and it would take a week.

Dealer makes good money selling this add-on.

IF I was going to do it or something like it, I would have it done Professionally, not
by the lot boy.

Me: I would rather spend $100 that will last (supplies) 2-3 years and keep up on it myself. Those that just don't want to or can't I guess it's better than not having any protection.
