I purchased a 2019 Platinum knowing it had 5 chips in it. I went to a glass installer I know and trust and he esimated it would cost around $900 to replace because of all the features that a Platinum has relative to the windshield. I am not going to lie to my insurance company that a "truck kicked up some rocks" into my windshield.
