After my last wash, I put on 303 Protectant on the rubber on the bottom of the side windows and thought I had cleaned up any over application. But after the next rain, I noticed a haze on the black glass in between the front and back side windows. It's had plenty of days/sun to dry out, but still have that haze I can't see to get rid of. Hopefully pics will show it even though the bad sun angle. Any ideas how to get rid of it?
Firstly, i'm fairly certain that's plastic, and, you're running a 13th gen?
303 shouldn't be too hard to remove, you have to remember to shake well before each spray and you're supposed to wipe it off after a few minutes, not leave to dry (though a lot of the time i don't)
If you have any quick detailer, that'll probably take it off without issue. Have you tried anything yet? even 303?
Unfortunately I tried the magic eraser before reading the past two comments and it has totally dulled the surface. This is a new gen14 - not sure what that surface is but seems to be a polished plastic even though it looks almost like black glass. Hopefully it isn't permanently damaged - may need to go to a detailer to see what they think.
You do not need to go to a detailer- you can use a polish on it-- even by hand with a foam applicator. Get a finishing polish- you probably already have some on hand if your into detailing. If not they sell M205 @ autozone & harbor freight
@Re-tired@eyecandynsx Many thanks! Had some old Zaino polish from the past and worked like a charm! Any idea what the pillars are made of? Any idea if that is paint or polished black plastic?
Wish I could help you out but i have no clue what material they are
I could take a SWAG but dont take it as 100% but I am guessing that since the ME put in light scratches and polish cleared it up it is probably some type of refined finished plastic or a composite
