Default Detailing shops

I'm going to take my truck in for a good detail soon. My question is how much should I be looking to pay for a full detail including a clay bar? Also anyone know a good detailing guy around the Lake Norman, NC area? Thanks in advanced

I know of a top tier detailer in Knoxville.

What do you mean by "full detail"

Cheers,
GREG

Greg,

I know to you and I a "full detail" is much more than a wash, clay and wax.
To me that's a 1-2 hour wash & wax plus clay "normal maintenance detail".

I consider a "full detail" to include paint correction and gloss enhancement.

This would include at a minimum...Exterior Detail:
Engine and Engine Bay area cleaned and dressed
2-Stage paint Decon to remove embedded contaminants
All paintwork defects carefully inspected & documented
2-5 Stage Paintwork Correction and Gloss Enhancement
Optional: Wheels removed, cleaned, treated and sealed
Then an LSP anything from Zaino Z-2 to CQuartz Finest.
For "looks" that could be followed with a quality Carnauba
This normally takes me 10-30+ hours to achieve results.

Yes I'm a newb when it comes to detailing so I thought that was a full detail. I thought about doing this own my own but I don't know how it would turn out and would take forever without a buffer.

the term full detail is very misleading, interior and exterior, paint correction, wash/wax.... I always think of a full detail as a full meal deal.......paint polishing, clay, wax, wash and interior carpets, seats, etc....

I wasn't trying to single you out, its just term needs to be defined.

Cheers,
GREG

How much would you charge for a wash, wax, and clay if you don't mind me asking?

Besides what has already been mentioned, door jambs and sills washed. I open a door after I paid for a detail and see crud in those areas someone ain't getting paid.

Can you recommend a good clay, wax, and wash? I've decided to try the detail myself but I don't have a buffer so hopefully it turns out well. Also what's a good online company for detailing supply's, I've been looking at auto geek a lot but not sure on there products.
