the best thing to use on chrome wheels is windex.i had chrome wheels on my old truck and never used any kind of polish just windex and the wheels looked like new even in the winter time with the snow and salt.

Does the windex keep brake dust from collecting?

whatever you guys do, if you either take it to get washed, or wash it yourselves, just make sure that acid is not at all used to clean the wheels, because that will take the minerals out of the wheels, and they will begin to fade, and get weird colors...the stuff works wonders, dont get me wrong, but not the best idea as to what to use...just get a very powerful Degreaser 88 type stuff or something like that, and it will take about 1 whole spray bottle to get all 4 rims looking like new...as far as the chrome...ive never heard of windex being used, but chrome polish always works well, and also a paper towel with kitchen soap and water, then buff it all out...thats always worked for me on the bumper when i do clean the car.

Ditto on the Windex for chrome...I have a '91 harley with a ton of chrome. I had sent a bunch of components to Browns in Kentucky to get them plated in 1993 and it was recommeded to use windex - they still look like new. I plan on using S100 polish that I use for the bike after the windex, since it worked to well in keeping it clean...chrome just needs TLC...

Default Bug & Tar Remover

I have been using Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover . It seems to work great and does not damage the clearcoat finish. Just follow the directions on the can. I use the non spray liquid type .

if you take your truck through a drive through wash your wax will be stripped and your paint will be damaged, most places recycle the water to keep down on cost and use acid to neutralize it, last time i went through a drive through was my friends car came out dirtier than it was when it went it
