Default Clean water filter kit

Bought a Tuxedo Black super crew a few weeks ago. Washed it for the first time a few days ago. After drying it and watching all the drips run down the side I tackled them with a detailer. Some of the drips were 'normal', but others were white like hard water stains. The last truck and the Mustang we have both had hard spots on them. I searched around a bit for water filters. The SpotFree system is nice, but $400 is not going to get the stamp of approval from the wife. I came across this one and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on it.

Sounds alright but those cartridges and tablets wont last forever. Im wondering how often they need to be replaced and how much they cost.

You can get an RV filter that does the same thing for less.
Have you considered convincing her that a "whole house" system will be good for your health?

I tried one of those filters today and it did nothing! It looked horrible so I ended up taking it to the car wash just to get the water spots off of it. I'm going to return that RV filter tomorrow.

I drive truck locally and one of my customers is Detroit sponge they carry and sell supplies to window washer company's, I was talking to the guy there about this prob and he said all the co's are going to this tank system they sell the smallest one is about the size of a scuba tank he says you connect your hose to it then a hose coming off and a chemical inside purifies the water. He said just washing my truck the thing would prob last a year or more and when it's used up you exchange it for a recharged one at a lower price because of the orig. tank return. He said they start about $80 I was thinking of trying this route, you could look for a window wash supplier near you.
