Until something is done with the ******* known as Steve83, I will not be returning to this site. I'm sick of seeing his harrassing, belittling attitude towards other members, that is just allowed to occur. This is supposed to be a community of like minded people, not ******** know it all's. Good bye

I looked at his last several posts and see none that are rude or harassing.

I don’t consider it rude or harassing to point out common sense or to make people find an answer for themselves that is covered in every other thread. It gets old for regulars when the same questions are asked over and over, a clear indication that people make no attempt to find answers for themselves.

The problem is that doing a search often leads to multiple threads, many/most of them not related, i was recently informed that the best way to actually get to a pertinent thread is to do a google search . I see many posts with impatient replies because a question has already been asked. I imagine just about every question has been asked, so maybe this forum should not allow any more threads at all and we can just read old threads and posts until we find what we are looking for.
I, for enjoy helping people solve their issues, I am not a mechanic and do not always have the best answer but at least i can get someone steered in the right direction without being rude and impatient.

I wouldn't leave. Any time you see a rude or harassing post, click the red dot with the exclamation point in it and report it. IT WILL GET REVIEWED and if deemed inappropriate, he will be dealt with. Dont let one bad apple ruin the site for you.

Also this site has a feature where you can block users if you don't like their "attitude" or how they come across.

Steve83 has firm opinions about how things should be done but doesn't attack opposing opinions. We need more Steve83's.

Suck it up and you'll be better off for it. The world, in general, is getting soft.

Hey the guy is 83 years old, and all old people get cranky.

Just a joke to lighten the mood

I agree, and he has a very firm position on his opinions. But more importantly, he has lots of knowledge that he is willing to share. I have no problem with him, but I can see how some would. Most people know I am kind of the same way. More than willing to share my limited knowledge, but if I don't firmly believe in what I am typing and saying I wouldn't have typed it......I have no place for snowflakes and safe places. The world is tough.

Agreed..
We wouldn't have much to talk about if everyone googled thier own answers. We are here to help one another. At least that's how I see it. It too Google everything and add F-150 forum at the end of the query .it seems to mostly work.
