I joined several months back but have only made a couple of posts. I'd like to buy something someone is selling in the part sales forum but just realized I can't send him (or anyone) a PM. Do I need to make some more posts before gaining that ability?

Same! I new and can't send or receive PMs. I'm told it is disabled and I can't see where to enable it.

 

on the top left you should see a link marked user CP, click on that then on the left side click on edit options. Make sure the PM box is checked

 

Thanks. I found at the top right corner next to my name a User Control Panel. When I select it I have an "edit options" but when I go there I do not have an option to Enable Private Messaging. It isn't listed anywhere on the page.

Is this a feature that isn't available to new members?

@carl, the odd part is that- by looking at your profile history, nobody fixed anything. Maybe the forum was having a momentary glitch? The last update to your profile was on 4/20/22 when you confirmed your email address. IDK. Glad it's resolved.

Oh, and for swivelhead02- I made a change to your profile, too. Unsure if it was ever resolved by itself but PM me if it still doesn't work.
