I use my iPhone exclusively to access the internet.

When I’m looking at a thread in this forum - the thread on its own will scroll down about 5 -7 replies. Does anyone else’s do this?

I have a feeling it may be from pictures in replies above where I’m reading finally loading and causing the jump. But I’m not sure. I try to look at the reply number so I can get back to where I was.

No other forums I visit do this.

Any have a definitive answer on how to stop this? It’s very annoying.

 

Look in your settings and disable "infinite scroll"

Sounds like that is what is happening but I do not know if that is part of user settings via mobile since I never access on a phone.

 

Mine does the same thing.

Really annoying, especially in the photo heavy threads I want to read.

Also if I’m near the end of the thread when it happens it will scroll me down into a whole other “related” thread without me even knowing unless I really pay attention.

I turned off infinite scroll on the web version just now, so I guess we will see if it fixes the mobile version.

 

The setting only applies to desktops or those running desktop theme. If using mobile theme on mobile device, it will not change.

What you describe sounds related to either you clicking on a anchor tag/link that focuses your browser to a specific spot, or you're in a specific spot in the thread, and all the loading pictures cause the browser to shift. I'm not sure there is any fix to that as the browser is also playing a role in that behavior. So would any connection/bandwidth/resource issues that aren't allowing all the content to load quickly enough.
