Hey guys... I'm trying different things with various levels of success. One thing I did was go into Internet Explorer, Tools -> Internet Options -> Browsing History -> Delete -> delete Temporary Internet files.

this helped me when I was surfing in IE. What I think happens is that your browser tries to remember what you have seen on a given page. So, if you ever surf back to that page, it doesn't take you to the top of the page, but rather to the point where you last were on the page (maybe 3/4 of the way down or something). Deleting these files can keep (I think) your browser from jumping all around.

I've done it and it seems to be helping me in IE. Give it a shot and let me know.

Thanks.

Hmmm, perhaps it's been doing this on me too, and I just haven't noticed - until now.
For me - whenever I select a thread to view - it will begin loading at the top of the page, but as it finishes loading, it will jump down just far enough so that the F150Forum banner at the top is not seen, but the "Ads by Google" line is now at the top of the screen.
Went in and manually deleted cookies, temporary internet files, history, form data, and passwords on the Options page. Also have the checkbox selected so that "delete browsing history on exit" on IE8. Closed browser out, then re-opened. Still have the same results.
Not a big deal for me - but I could see where this would be real annoying if the page jumped further down.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but it never does it to me on the main page. The main page always starts out normal at the top.

Thanks for the update. I'm swamped at my "real job" today, but hope to look more into it tonight/tomorrow.
