Actually john its a good idea on what justice said about haveing a certain number of posts to get in.It would eliminate the trolls and keep things in order.

Would you be up for doing a trial basis type thing??Just seeing how things go and if they go good keep it.If not well lets shut her down.

Would also be a good thing to have live chat for the ideas that can be shared.Also maybe someone volenteers to oversee the chat and that way if it even hints at the subject going south,that volenteer shuts her down...........Have a certain night(s) picked and a certain time(s) picked also and have the volenteer oversee it.....I think allot of ppl would want something like live chat.

jon. sorry just saw your post. its a reptile forum i go to every now and then. its reptileforum.com i think is the website. i used to like going into the chat. its fun to have conversations with folks that have the same interests. and just to have a general bs session bout our trucks and mods and what not.

What about a live chat with sub chats available?

Like a chat screen for everyone then you can click on someones name and have a seperate (private) chat with them.

I remember having allot of those type live chats with gaming forums when I played online games years back. It was cool. Some people don't have Yahoo, Msn, AIM and such so having a live chat that allowed you to chat to 1 person privately was awesome.

These are all good ideas it would sure be cool to have one and have some BS sessions about our trucks on here

i know on the opel site that i belong to we have the chat feature. but one thing people need to remember is that every additional feature costs extra money. i agree it would be nice to have, but who is the one fronting the money for these added costs? maybe a link to were we could donate money to the site for needed upgrades and maintence would be nice.

We haven't implemented a chat feature mainly because we want to make sure that the information shared on the forum is available for all to see in order for it to help all the members and guests. We are concerned that with a chat you lose that historical data and information.

i completely understand what your saying.

what about setting up a way for us to atleast donate to the site for maintence of it. it would be our way of giving back to you guys for everything you do. maybe even rank how the donations go, free stickers, maybe a t-shirt if a certain amount is donated. I know on the Hybrid Z forum that im also on, there is an add-on under the users avator that ranks them as a donating member.

We are in the process of getting some new t-shirts and stickers made up now. Once those are made up, we will have a way for members to support this site and they'll get t-shirts and stickers in return. We are just waiting on the apparel to get made.
