Eric Carpenter posts-phantom
Last 2 days have received notification that this guy is posting to forum posts that I am subscribed to. When I go to the post or his statistics, there are no posts from him at all. Additionally, the only way for me to have the notification go away is to un-subscribe from the original post.
Just to add, it's not specific to your account. As djfllmn mentioned, the poster had their posts auto moderated due to suspected spam by the system. We have a newer anti-spam tool, and settings, and sometimes there's false-positives that have to manually be approved. What happens is the notifications of the reply are sent when the account posts, then the tool may send the post to Moderation as suspected spam. That's how you get the email notifications but missing content, unless the staff approved of the post before your next visit.
This setup, or rather the steps (notifications sent before post may go to Moderation queue), is not ideal for the confusion it causes. It's something we're looking into but does require a heavy re-code if we want to change.
Also, you mentioned not getting notices of responses anymore. It looks like your email address bounced some of our emails back in February. I have reset it, but if it continues it's likely something with your provider (swbell) as they have some history of doing this.
