Question XLT Modification

Hi all. New to the Forum and had a question. I am about to purchase a 2011 XLT. Would I be able to find a Raptor grille and bumper and install it without any modification? Would they "bolt" on or is there a structural difference in the two front ends?

Thanks to all. I look forward to your answers,

TT

If you want the grill you need the hood as well.

I thought the hood looked different. Is there a difference between the 2010 and 2011 hood and grille design? Any idea what these parts cost?

If you want the look of a Raptor...why not just buy a Raptor? I don't think the price difference would be tremendous, unless you really want one of the other engine options.

While it isn't my truck and you're certainly free to do whatever floats your boat, I think it would look odd.

I thought about this to. The look of the grill on the Raptor is sweet. What I decided to do was get the FX4 with black on black. That gave me the closest look to the raptor grill without actually getting the raptor. I prefer the black grill over chrome any day.

I don't think it would be odd. Just something different to set it apart from the other regular f150s. To the OP, don't have a clue on prices. You may want to check salvage yards.

I'm getting the package I want out of the XLT, so more or less if I were to buy a Raptor, I would be paying $6,000 for a different hood, different grille, and bigger tires. Hardly a good investment. I can possibly get the hood and grille later. I can get the bigger tires later too. I may be ordering the truck as early as this weekend. I am eagerly waiting for the call. I't been 7 years since I've had a truck other than my 78 Bronco.

Hahah there is a **** ton more stuff on the underside of that raptor than people know, the ratpor in my mind is a good deal because it cost about as much as an fx4 with the features that come stock on the raptor so your basically getting a free fox racing suspension and a 6.2.

Your gonna spend more than the 6k price difference to get that fx4 up to the suspension/ power / looks of the raptor

Stepping out on a limb here, but I think the OP simply wants the look of the raptor front end. He isn't trying to build one out of an XLT from the chassis up.

Just sayin'.
