Default xcal question

Will this tell me what the pcm thinks the coolant temp is? I am getting a Flex-a-lite dual fan setup and it has adjustments for the temp controller. Want to make sure it is setup to proper temp.

Basicly is the xcal somewhat like a scan tool, on top of a tuner?

also those with AF1 intakes does your look like this? Does not give a name brand but sure looks like what I have seen with the AF1. ?

thanks in advance!

I don't know anything about the AF1 intakes, hopefully someone can help you there. The main function of the X-cal is tuning. IT can read generic obd2 codes. It can datalog, but only for short periods of time. With as fast and as much data as it records it would fill a harddrive quick. A 15 second run takes 5 - 8 megs.
