Guys .... I`m going to jump in here with my $.02 worth . I`ve raced since I was 15 ( street ) and then track . Last go was on dirt ( Ford! ) . Current rides are 2003 F150 , 5.4 with tuner , CAI system , Dr Gas crossover and Spintech dual muffler system . Another ride is a 63 1/2 Ford Galaxie ... 427 dual quad , 4 speed , 3.89 L.S. rear etc ... Dr Gas crossover and Walker Race Magnum mufflers . In the old days , an H pipe was used to help low end torque and did a great job ... however , science moves on . Dr Gas furnishes his systems to a good portion of the NASCAR boys ... and that is what I have . It isn`t an H pipe or and X pipe . A good way to describe it is take a circle and cut it in half , flip both sides 180 degrees and put them back to back with a computer generated opening . Helps both low and mid range torque and doesn`t hurt top end at all ..... I shift my Galaxie at 6500 rpm .
Wish I could put one on my Cobra , but can`t fit it under the car ... but then with 610 hp , I don`t think I need it ??
