Would any of you buy this f 150 lariat

Old Fart
I am still trying to figure out why someone makes an account to complain about a truck sitting on a dealer lot. There are a lot cars and trucks I drive by everyday I wouldn't buy, but I am not going to go to a Dodge/Ram, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan or Honda site to ask if anyone would but any of them

I specifically sought on my Larry without a sunroof. If you mean the auto trailer steering, it’s a gimmick. You can always add the standard brake controller later if you wanted to (fairly cheaply). RWD is a preference that some people will pay for and some would rather not pay for. I do let think this combo would make it hard to sell later as long as you market it to enough people.

What does a Lariat's curb weight have to do with towing? What does "so heavy" actually work out numerically?
Is 1663# considered a very low Payload Rating?

Then again, I did take the time to read the towing and payload numbers straight from the brochure over a decade again and figured out the combos. I still don’t understand how a Lariat can weigh so much more than an XLT. Easy math, if the sales manager drives my XLT and I drive the Lariat he wouldn’t negotiate on when I first contacted him...technically the trucks should weigh the same.

He said it doesn't have a Sunroof!!

that seems like a very good payload for. Lariat. You don’t specifically state which trim you have though

I have the 2018 MY brochure sitting next to me. There is not a specified payload by trim level, it is tabulated by cab and bed configuration. The differences lie in four levels; 2.7L requires payload package, heavy payload package requires 17in wheel or 18in wheel, Limited maintains its own spec weight due to 22in wheels and lower profile tires, and Raptor for obvious reasons. While there is a notation specifying trim level and options, the listing also maintains that the numbers are tabulated using a 150lb driver. The options that are included in most of the trim levels are legible at best. Case in point, buy an XLT and "need" bigger rims and tires and a bed cover/topper, etc...

My Lariat 501A 4×2 has payload of 1896...…..but yeah I'd buy that one, but would miss the tailgate step (I'm over 60). Sunroof will become PITA, when you say trailer control are you referring to the backup assist or trailer tow package w/brake controller? Tow package I would miss, but I have another truck for that if need be.

My Platinum is 1557, and a 4WD 3.5 is up around 1570. I think Ford intentionally keeps the GVWR down on some of these when considering a Max Tow has the HPP frame on it. I have plenty of payload for my needs and tows my TT just fine (better than that last one ever did).
