Ok these are probably really dumb questions but I figure you hardcore mudding guys would know. I`d like to get a winch that mounts to those hitch plate things,whatever their called,and I notice some of you guys in the pics really bury your trucks in the mud and water.

Lets say the winch isn`t hooked up when you go in and need it to get out. If the back is under water and you go to plug it in will it still work? And how bout the winches,are they waterproof? Like I said,probably dumb questions to most of you but I was just curious.......
