My buddy has a f250 SD and thinks that he needs a dually but doesnt want to pay the price. He says he knows a guy parting out a f350 of the same year with a dually axle and wants to know how hard it would be to swap them out. Also, out of my own curiousity, and dont bash me if this is stupid, but would someone with a f150 be able to swap out for a dually axle assuming they accomadated for the fender space? I dont plan on doing that just wondering.

 

I've seen it done, there have been kits that would allow for a Dually setup on a standard truck.

 

There's more to a dually than two extra wheels.

 

Not hard to do. There's a '79 dually Bronco running around my town.

 

dually bronco? that's it? i was out at traders village last weekend and saw a dually RANGER! it looked like it was a 84, i was to aw-stuck to get a picture

 

ive seen alot of dually 250's. atleast 7 or 8. you would need to swap the bed to flare over the wheels

 

Ive seen a '90's F150 shortbed with a dually rear axle on it around here. Looks really stupid.
