I can tell you this much. On our commercial vehicles we average about 12 months on our windshields before they crack form kicked up road stones. The aftermarket replacement windows from your big name guys all are junk. The replacements all seem to break faster than the oem windshields from the manufacture.
That's just my opinion and I'm not mentioning names like Safelite or anything. We use the quite a bit, every 12 months or so every truck.

Of course in Ohio your insurance considers Glass breakage as comprehensive, I am carrying $500 deductible, Crap
My extended bumper to bumper considers glass as a wear part. Crap again.

Safelite quoted $338.
Belle Tire $231 installed.

Bought my 2013 FX4 on November 28. December 9th I had a cracked windshield. Turns out I had a chip right at the base of the windshield and it fractured. Going to be an expensive windshield to replace.

Safelite and other companies have online pricing tools you can use. One type of windshield (there are many types) for a 2013 F150 is $350.

I had safelite put one in my truck last year and the next morning it was cracked. They said they had a bad batch of OEM windshields. They found me one from an older batch. No problems since.
