2006 F150 super-cab 2wd 4.6 2 valve. The line comes off of the manifold and looks partially melted. I have a slight hesitation when accelerating. Here is a pic. There are four hoses, don’t know where it goes?
Are you sure these are photos of a 2006 4.6 2v. The vacuum routing on my 2007 4.6 2v looks nothing like your photos. Maybe its just the photo but your photo looks like you have an aluminum intake manifold T/F?
True it’s aluminum manifold. Is that uncommon? I am positive it’s the 4.6 2 valve triton. Vin lookup shows it as well. My dad was the original owner, passed on to my brother and sold to me 3 months ago. All original straight from the factory in Dallas Cowboy True Blue. It’s needs some engine detailing as brother let it sit for the last 6 years! It passes inspection and on the road now.maybe those aren’t vacuum lines?
Updated, I tracked from the front to where it connects to, is this the egr valve? The hose for here other then the one hose which I still haven’t found. I went to the dealership and asked, they couldn’t find it either. 3rd broken line goes where? Egr valve?
Finally figured out what is missing! It’s from the line from the manifold vacuum, has 2 lines going to a pump near the egr valve. 1 line goes to the fuel rail pressure sensor and the 1 line I was looking for is I’m guessing a check valve of sorts. Of course the line is discontinued at the dealership, so I went to the local pick and pull and the 3rd truck I looked at had it for 12 dollars! The shake at idle stopped, now the number 4 plug is next. Taking that to the mechanic to pull out. Here is the pic of the whole tubing with the long plastic hose part. Got a part number if anyone is looking for it. Attached as well! Long hose that was missing Part number
