You guys just answered a couple of my questions as well. I had the 2 "wiring" items in my glovebox as well.

Well there ya go, the XL is the lowest trim package available, it's likely missing a lot of options.

Mine's not exactly a stripped down work truck.

TBC is not included, as it was in earlier years, with many configurations, as many have posted prior.

Relay and fuse for charging trailer battery are sometimes not installed by dealer. Many people tow but don't have a trailer battery to charge.

Camera cap is for when you remove tailgate to cap wires.

Yep. There's a 4 pin, a 6 pin, and a 7 pin trailer connector. The 6 and 7 pin connectors are for trailers that have electric brakes on their axles, which in turn are controlled by an electric brake controller in the cab of the tow vehicle (I.E. your truck). Since some folks do not tow large trailers/campers that have electric brakes on their trailer, Ford (and many others) will not equip the tow vehicle (I.E. your truck) with the electronic brake controller or the 6/7 pin connector at the back, by the hitch bar.
The difference between the 6 and 7 pin trailer plug connector is that the 7 pin has one additional 12V connector that is used by the trailer for things such as a 12V refridgerator (camper) so it can cool while towing, or to charge a trailers equipped 12 volt battery (any trailer with electric brakes requires its own battery to operate the electric brakes should it get disconnected from the tow vehicle during towing).
All 6 or 7 pin connectors have the 12V for electric brakes though, and require a brake controller, which gets located in the cab.
