Cool

If I were looking for a truck and my concerns were how much it would cost to replace the engine I would be looking at a mid '80's Chevy or a Mid '70's Ford.

Any engine I've had since 1969 was big bucks to replace,
Just got a 3.5 Egoboost from a 5.0. Power is there for sure, likely every bit as good as the 5.0 or any others. Now about the potential sound.
I wouldn't be afraid of any of them.

6.2 411 HP 434 Pound feet of Torque. Now to get it in a F150 you will have to by used since it made it into the last one in 2014.

The only motor(s) in the truck would be the starter motor and hvac blower motor. The word your looking for is engine.

I love my 3.5 Ecoboost!. would not trade it for a 5.0 , might trade it for a Raptor
Test drive them all and see how you like them.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I've got a 5.4 in my Expo. And a 3.5 eco in my F150. Same axle ratio in both. Last generation of 5.4 and first gen of the 3.5eco. The 3.5 will lap the 5.4 in every scenario. They have the same transmission too. And yes I pull regularly (5000# Cargo trailer). According to the trailer and trip computer I pull a trailer 15% of the time.

Surprisingly the MPG between the 5.4 and the 3.5eco is the same pulling and not pulling. The 5.4 is a good engine but the 3.5 kicks it's *****.
