Default What motor?

So I am looking at getting rid of my old truck, not ford, and been looking at fords. My biggest question when considering Ford is should I get the V6 ecoboost, V6 Ti-VCT, or the V8? Any pros/cons you guys can let me know about?

Woohoo! Finally, someone wants to know which motor is best! I'll subscribe since I've been wondering the same thing. It's about time somebody thought of asking that question.

In all seriousness....if this is an honest question, the search function would lead you to many, many, long threads of about the motors.

You'll be up all night reading.
Another good approach would be to drive them and see if you have any particular feelings about them. You might love one or hate one.

I personally was considering the 3.5 Eco truck myself. Until I started reading threads about guys replacing engines. It's not very common to need too. But the quotes from Ford were upwards of $13000. That tells me to stay away from the Eco trucks. I plan to keep my next truck for at least 200K miles.

I have read a good amount of posts stating that exactly (replacing engines) which makes me nervous on those motors. So looks like the v8 is better so far.

Truck will be a daily driver. Eventually I’ll get a trailer to tow clean up in woods and maybe a atv but that’s not 100%. It will not be used to tow a boat or camper I can say that.
