Default What could be wrong

I have a 2002 f150 supercrew 4.6 i put a 2008 crown vic cop motor in it and iam having a problem getting it to do the drove cycle. It has a miss fire that gets bad when its in drive. It has new coils and plugs ìam getting some codes p0136 p0406 and a p0171. I have popping sound coming from the motor any help would be appreciated

Could be that the ECU doesn't know how to read the sensors on that engine.
Could be that you have something wrong with your fuel delivery.
Could be a bad wire somewhere.
Could be a lot of things.

Did you start by looking up the codes?

Yeah, that drove cycle is hard to do.

like a really loud popping sound???
like you have a sparkplug that has ejected from the cylinderhead & only thing holding it in place is the coil assy?
if it has individual coils, put your hands on each one individually & feel for the popping vibration on top of the coil.

or a popping sound like the engine is popping back through the intake manifold?
