Default Westley's Bleche-wite

Hello to all,

I know most of our trucks do not have white walls, but I thought some of you guys might have an answer for this.

The original Westley's Bleche-wite (White wall tire cleaner) has been discontinued and now sells as "black magic" w the same identical label. Users state the product now is not any good at all. It's used for cleaning off brake dust and about 25 of different stains..the oiriginal formula really worked.

Does anyone have or know of another product like Westley's Bleche-wite that can still remove stains. I am using it to remove the black drip stains on my light colored gutters. People said they used to spray the WBWite on their gutters, wait and hose it right off...

Thanks in advance for any leads guys,

tstex

I found a product by Driver's Choice at a dollar store. Works very good on tires and brake dust.

BW was awesome back in the day, until BM took it over. I use a degreaser from 3D products in my detailing business. Works great on wheels and tires. Although I've never tried it on stained rain gutters, so I can't say it will work for that intended purpose.

Thank you for your answers guys....

Does anyone have an older bottle of the original Westley's Bleche-wite that can tell me what are the list of chemicals/%'s, or an MSDS? that would be great.

UPDATE: - I just found the ingredients, but not the percentages

I'm one who has been using Bleche-wite since the 70's and can definitely confirm that, while still the most cost effective option around, it's no where near what it once was.

That said, I found a product that works as well, if not better than the original B-W, Tuf-Shine Tire Cleaner. It isn't cheap, but it WORKS. I compared head to head with B-W a couple of years ago. I was detailing and going to apply Tuf-Shine tire clearcoat and it's critical that the tires be completely free of any dirt, oxidation, etc.

So to clean the tires, I started by using B-W and scrubbed about 3-4 cycles, until the foam forming was pure white. I then scrubbed again with Tuf-Shine and immediately got a brown foam from the scrub, telling me that the B-W had reached its max potential for cleaning, but there was still plenty there. After another two scrubs with Tuf-Shine, everything foamed and rinsed clear, so I was satisfied that the tires were ready for clear coating.

I still use B-W for my regular wash since I don't need to use Tuf-Shine except when I need to prep to clearcoat, but can say without a doubt that Tuf-Shine is the best product I'm aware of on the market today for cleaning tires.

i still use bleche-white. It’s not as good as it was 25 years ago. But it still cleans the plastic and rubber I want cleaned.

Thanks farmer and Nuke for the detailed response. If I do not have to scrub a long row of gutters up on a ladder, then price becomes much less significant. I will give that a try for sure !! thank you

get a pool broom handle that extends out. Put a vehicle brush on it and have at it.

if it’s not a second story house, you should be able to reach the gutters with no issue
