Default USB Stick with MFT

I loaded a usb stick with 3 separate folders, each with different music styles. When I plug in the stick, the radio will play randomly from all 3 folders as if it was one big play list. Is there a way to get it to play from & or access each folder individually & in the order that they are loaded? Shuffle & repeat are turned off.

Yea, in the menu while you are synced to the usb look for explore folders. Keep going it will give you the option to play all or a specific folder

You may find that its easier to create playlists, because those you can more easily navigate with the ford interface. While 'say a command -- play genre rock' or 'play artist pink floyd' works for some circumstances, when you've created your mix-and-match folders or haven't touched up the meta-data on the MP3s your ripped yourself, it's hard to get consistent info to work with.
Make your playlists directly on the USB device. Windows media player seems less likely to put in drive names on the USB devices, so then the resultant playlist files can actually be used by the ford radio

I'll give this a try. But doesn't media player play directly from files stored on the system? Creating a play list in MP or right from "my music" folder would be the same?

Thanks to both you guys for the tips!

Default USB Track Play Order

I have the same problem. Even using explore folders it appears to play in random order.

Is there something that can be done with tags or file structure, etc. that will force them to play in order?

I really don't want to have to create a bunch of play lists.

Ultimately I'd like to say "Play Album Nilsson Schmilsson" and have them play in order like they do from the CD. Please HELP !!!

Default No wma files

Name the folder the name of the band, put the mp3 files in the folder. When you use the menu to explore the disc you will see the folders. Ok the folder then it should play that folder. Make sure you have randum play turned off.

But how do you find that menu?
It only tells me "not in folder mode"

How, and where do I see a menu?

First off there are four levels of Sync. SYNC, SYNC with voice navigation, SYNC with MyFord, and SYNC with MyFord Touch. I have SYNC with MyFord and have no experience with others.

I can play the whole album but the tracks don't play in the order that they appear in the folder when viewed on the computer.

I can't find any information on how this "folder mode" works.

I didn't know there were so many syncs. I have the sync with my ford. After you are in usb sync then go to the menu. Tomorrow I will get in my truck and type the steps in and repost.
