Upgrade, or keep it?
The gas models will get less MPG but for the daily grind it would equal costs if something would go wrong with a diesel. Now if you towed/hauled heavy most of the time diesel would be it hands down.
Hey had an outside diesel shop check it out. Found a couple things such as tie rods loose, rusty oil pan, temp gauge not working, slow crank when starting, U joints dry, they said they heard a slight vibration along the drive line. Other than that they said its a pretty solid truck. Thoughts?
Thanks again,
Mike

These are the two trucks in question, the yellow one has been looked at, haven't seen the white one yet

I owned the same truck and year (2002 F250 4x4 Lariot, 7., long bed crew cab). It was very dependable, towed our boat easily, was slow as **** towing or not. Best fuel mileage was about 17-18 if driving 55. Above 55 mileage would drop into the low teens.
Only way I would ever buy another diesel truck is if I had to tow 8-10,000 pounds on a weekly basis.
