Default Carfax Question

Hello everyone. I'm new here and i'm looking to purchase my first F-150. I have been looking for a few months and, have test drove a bunch and have been trying to research as much as possible. I found a truck that has everything I'm looking for, I test drove it yesterday and of course it made me want it even more but I resisted and I'm glad I did. After I got home I checked out the carfax and here's what it says. I just wanted some opinions as to if this would be a deal breaker or not.

There are 3 things that jump out as red flags:

11/23/2015 New York
Motor Vehicle Dept.
Atlanta, GA Title issued or updated
First owner reported
Loan or lien reported

12/07/2015 New York
Damage Report Accident reported
It hit a deer

01/15/2016 New York
Damage Report Accident reported
with another motor vehicle

06/27/2017 20,463 Auto Auction
New York Vehicle sold at auction

My understanding is the Loan or Lien reported is just that the person who bought the truck borrowed money so that's not a huge deal, but 2 damage reports make me very iffy about pressuring the truck. Like I said, I test drove the truck and didn't notice any issues. I didn't know about the accidents before I went and saw the truck. Just wanting to gather opinion. Thanks in advance.

Damage gets fixed.. the deer did not bend the frame but, the hit another car may have, take it to an alignment shop before you pull the trigger to ensure its straight. cost you $70.

Yeah, no reason to be concerned about the lien, and no reason to be concerned about the truck selling at auction (the majority of used vehicles, and almost all lease returns, are sold at auction).

As far as the damage, as long as it was repaired well, you should be fine... especially if you tend to keep vehicles a long time (the older the vehicle, the less an accident on its history report impacts its value when you go to sell it). In the short term, it should lower the price of the truck having been in two different damage incidents.

Thanks for the info. Like I said, I didn't know about the accidents when I went to see it and the sales guy never said anything. Of course he was trying to wheel and deal and get me to sign for it. Its a 2015 XLT Sport Supercab, 6cy 2.7 with 22k miles on it. Dealership is asking 28,900. They low balled me on my trade in so I started to walk and they found another $1000 they were going to give me for it. I still said the price a about $1000 more than I wanted to spend and the sales guy said he was going to go to work for me and call me back. So once he does I plan on bringing up the accidents and hoping to get more money off. This is in NY as well, the price isn't bad from what research I've done.

don't you just love it when the sales guy "finds an extra $1000 outta the blue"...

They were low-balling to begin with......They money was there to play with to begin with.,

Remember, there may be things repaired elsewhere not reported to carfax. Also if it is within 3/36, negotiate a Ford ESP warranty!
