I'm impressed! I have the similar truck. What gas were you using? I'm wondering if switching to pure gas such as Shell's V-Power Octane 91 would help immensely?

I am sure it has been done, but have no desire to read 52 pages of mileage. Has anyone decided to run their truck on E85 only? If so is there a difference in the MPG? I am averaging 13 on my 5.0

Should be about, what, 1/3rd less than with regular gas? But I'd like to hear if anybody has done it too.

Not the greatest but considering the sample size, not bad. Fuel = 87 E10

I did it once in my 2009, I don't recall the exact numbers, but the mileage did take a big hit. I remember thinking that e85 would have to be .50 a gallon less in price for me to break even.

Why does an ecoboost in a Limited have a better posted mpg than in a lariat or FX4?

First long road trip in my SCrew 5.0. I forgot to snap a pic, but did 18.9 mpg on 311 mile trip one way. I was pretty happy with this number. I'll be heading home in a few days and we'll see if I can make it to 19mpg!

I use a K&N filter in stock factory box & use Z Max every 3-4 oil changes. Use motor craft synthetic oil as well. My 09 F150 screw 4x4 has 170,000 on it & still gets 18-21 hwy. luv this truck!

The mileage was from a road trip that started in Concord, NC then to Fargo, ND. From Fargo to Livingston, MT, and south through Yellowstone into Salt Lake City. From Salt Lake back to Concord. The truck is a 5.0L w/3.31 gears, and the trip was approx 85% Highway/15% city with speeds on the hwy from 55 to 80 mph. The highest mileage was from North Carolina to Fargo coming in at 22.1 with some good tail winds. The low was 20.5 with some heavy headwinds. Very pleased.
