Need technical assistance. It's sat. and I am literally trying to pull engine from compartment. Motor mounts are disconnected, transmission is oproperly supported and Six housing bolts from trans/engine are out. The problem I have is I cant seperate engine and trans. Tightness around bell housing area leave little to no room for prying with a screw driver. Can someone with V6 4.2 engine pulling experience give me some assistance?????

 

FYI... ford has a couple of alignment tubes on most of the transmissions. They are about .5" long and go into the engine block. You have to pull the engine and trans apart by removing the transmission mounts and separating it from the engine, then you can pull the engine. Hopefully this is the problem you are having... if not, then good luck!
