Default Truck doesn’t exist

I have a 2015 f150 5.0L Platinum 4x4 and recently been attempting to do some driveline work. I needed to replace the differential cover to which not a single auto parts store (napa, oriellys, or auto zone) could not find the part. I have a 12 bolt super 8.8 rear end but every parts store only shows 10 bolts for 8.8 or 12 for the 9.75 rear ends. Just went to get new u-joints as well to which when the auto parts store put in the VIN showed unknown vehicle. The only thing they showed was a 2 piece rear drive shaft but I have a 1 piece. Currently unable to find any parts and wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue? It seems almost like the truck doesn’t exist or has a really weird driveline set up.

Why dont you go look on Rockauto and see if they show the correct covers and write down part numbers and bring those into the store. Or just order from rock auto.

I'm sure all the places that sell OEM parts online must have it?

There are a few aftermarket ones too.

Rockauto doesn’t even have an option for an 8.8 rear end and the only gasket they sell is a 10 bolt 8.8 or a 9.75, none of which work

Order it from Ford, it's less than $40. Try FL3Z-4033-A.

FWIW, the 15-23 F150 with the 8.8 are all "Super 8.8" differentials. Try a newer model year for your search, if you wish.

Surprising the things you can get at the Ford parts counter for a good price. They may not be fancy and shiny or i a nice box.

The only gasket I'm aware of is the one for MagHytech. It's the one I used:

https://mag-hytec.com/product/ford-f-12-8_8-gasket/

They also make a cover:

And a fourth aftermarket option:
