Ford quoted me $1,460 to fix the door... It was just a door handle, some paint, and a lock. I was robbed not once, but twice.

I understand this to be a common attack on the doors, they punch through under the door handle, some people don't even realise it's damaged, only to find the door they thought was locked, isn't.

I fitted these: https://jimmijammer.com/Product,%20JJ.htm

I agree about feeling robbed twice. Mine is a little over $1000. Probably could have shopped around to get it done cheaper but don’t have time to mess around with it. I wish Ford would acknowledge the poor design and help us out with these repairs.

So did you ever get it fixed. This weekend i had the same issue and occurrence in my 2019 F250 King Ranch. They didn’t take anything other than my 9mm Baretta PX4 Storm. Arghhhh. Now my horn doesn’t work and can’t seem to find out how to enable i back again. I took it a Ford Dealership in San Antonio and they wanted 750$ just to fix the door handle. NOT… I need to get my horn bac enabled…

If you had read through the thread, you would have noticed I mentioned in post #4 that thieves cut the horn wires to prevent the alarm from sounding, and where I armored my truck to prevent that from happening to me.

Spend the 10 minutes it takes to pull the grill the first time, you'll see and be able to repair the cut wires right away.

I have my wife's Rav4 and my F150 fobs in a a Faraday box. It works great but my wife always forgets to put her fob in it. I figure it is just a matter of time and we will be missing a Rav4

San Antonio has one of the highest crime rates in the USA, have no idea why.

I also installed a piece of aluminum over the harness where they cut the horn wires in case they start snipping around blind, so they don't cut the other wires running through there.
Have any pictures to show us where the wire is the thieves are finding?

Do you have any pictures or links where this wire we need to move is located on a 21 or 22 Model?
